I'm assuming you are debating between a Kenne Bell supercharger and a Vortec supercharger for this one bolt-on you speak of. Kenne Bell is definately the better product of the two, BUT if you like the centrifugal style supercharger I would suggest Pro Charger because they use an intercooler which allows more boost and more power. However, you will have to put on full exhaust, which should be your first set of modifications anyway.

the car has been updated to a 92 mass air system, crane roller rockers and a set bbk shorty (non) with hi-flow cats, x-pipe and flows. the car is my daily driver with a/c and p/s. I'm looking to keep up with some of the newer car with out NOS or full blown stoker.

Sounds a lot like my 1990 5.0 mods wise, except I don't have headers...yet (Thanksgiving time hopefully). Anyway, a supercharger sounds like what you are looking for since it's a daily driver and you want to keep up with some of the newer cars. Once again, I would lean toward the Kenne Bell simply because it is just flat out a better product than vortec or powerdyne. It's more expensive but you get what you pay for and you can't beat the way a supercharger sitting on top of the intake looks.

i too like the KB, but personally, i would get the vortech. the KB gives alot more torque, but the vortech gives top end which is where most of the race is at. since the vortech is cheaper, the money saved can be invested into more mods ;D

if you go with the kenne bell, you gas milage will suck, the vortech wont show too much of a difference until you put your foot in it. But hey, gas is only 2.19 now. I am going to have to agree with the procharger also though. not only do they use an a/a intercooler, you wont have to tap oil lines into your oil pan because procharger is a self oiled system. this could save you a lot of money when you end up cutting the top off those pistons under too much boost.

S Trim! Then use the rest of the $$$ you save to get some 36-42 lb injectors and matching MAF and a Walbro GSS 304/340 in tank 255 lph pump. 5 speed or auto? If auto, you'll need about a 2800 rpm converter to go with it all.

Dont mess with superchargers. Go Turbo and you wont regret it.

Also switch out your E6 heads.........I have seen guys get 25rwhp from just swapping to stock E7 heads off of 87+ stangs..
