Yea, it will be pretty loud but Josh, if you were a real gangster, you would run that shit with just straight long tubes....

x will be a lil deeper, less rasp.

at least, that's what mug's car did with the LT's and magnapacks.

Hmmm don't know what your 2000 will sound like but I know 5.0s that have xpipes are raspy nascar sounding and hpipes are quieter mellower....

Maybe 4.6s are diff?

There were two people on CL selling xpipes for 4.6s.... One was a Bassani catted x and the other I don't remember... it has been a few days so maybe they are even gone...I couldn't find the posting again either.

I always thought x-pipe was louder but,it could be your mufflers too go with magna flows or borla it will change the sound but double check me I'm not for sure I don't want you going out buying new muffs and still sound same

H-pipe is always louder, just by design.

The noise issue is because of no CATS and the RACE BULLETS. Find a more street friendly muffler and you'll be fine.

Hence nothing with the name RACE in it.

yeah, ill say the race bullets definately are the cause of the major loudness or annoyance from the police. police love the sound of my car, i never get any complaints, they are just kinda like, "niiiiiiiiiiiiice"
also, im willing to bet there isnt too many people willing to go from x to h. almost everyone goes from h to x. i have had both and personally the only difference i have noticed is a deeper tone with the x. since you have race bullets, i can only assume the sound will give the bullets more crackle. if you put some 2 chambers on there it would prolly sound a helluva lot better.
also, i think the h-pipe helps out with the exhaust backpressure which is important with modular engines....

i hate chambered mufflers, i like these. got the sound i wanted just a little too high pitched.

i have flowmaster 40's with a pypes o/r x if youre wanting to hear what an x-pipe sounds like. i might be at borders if youre going there. it is a 2002 4.6

I have one i'll trade ya....

But i cut an inch outa one side and it would need to be welded back together with a coupling.

LMK if your interested and we can figure something out.
