    My '00 will cycle the compressor if ambient is in the 70s, maybe into the low 80s. The only thing that should cycle now is the high/low fan speed.

    300 to 350 is really high for the high side. Especially considering it is not as hot as it was a few weeks ago. 45psi on the low side is high because of the high pressure on the high side. You can cool the condensor off with a fan or some water and the pressure should go down and cool much better. If it is at 350 at idle how much does it rise if you rev the engine a bit. Compressor will not live long at that psi.
