Yeah I had the DCControl box and contour fan setup on my 89 with the supercharger. It definitely works good. I thought my temp gauge was broke because it would get to operating temp and not move! Worked great, but still electronic lol.

I put a mustang fan clutch with and 2000 ford explorer fan blade on my 84 f150. Figured if its good enough to cool the explorer. It's good enough for me

Yep! You can't beat a functioning stock clutch and fan on a daily driver for BOTH cooling and realiability. I still have one on the wife's '93. If it ever over heated because of a bad electric fan, I'd be sure to hear about it...for a long, long....long time. LOL

That's why I am going through so much detail on little issues blowers can have and trying to address all those before my wife drives a blower car and gets pissed at belt issues etc

Well i rewired the fans today. Much happier with how it's all done and shouldn't give any other issues...

@NarleyCarley This is a roughl idea... Maybe @Neighbors can add in some input.

    Initial issues I see:

    - setting/adjusting pinion angle
    - exhaust clearance
    - bar/floor clearance during axle articulation.

I highly doubt that the arm itself will be straight as it is at the final version. It will more than likely be parallel to the ground more then curve up as you move forward.

I'm thinking it may be a good idea to mock everything up with PVC since it's cheap and easy to work with. Will have to wait until the paint work get done though. That's #1 on my priority list since it's such an eye sore. Materials are all bought, just need time.

I have a few other version to draw out as well.... I don't like idea of attaching the strut to the trans tunnel. Neighbors had a good idea about how to get around that as well. Just need some time to mock things up.

Did I miss where you were talking about fabricating a torque arm for your car? I have a MM one if you want to model off of that... I also have a Griggs one too. You can use either of them to model off of. Give you a good idea on where and how to attach to the axle. No reason to reinvent the wheel if you don't have to.
