    tq boxes weld up and reinforcement pictures

    im sure alot of people have done this. anyone have some pics of there work and suggestions on how to reinforce them?

    I just did my car a few months ago not too bad pretty easy and I welded the plates in.. you will need a long 1/2" drill bit to drill a hole for the upper torque boxes..

    I used the smr kit for my car that I bought off of a member on here. My one thing to add is that when you drill for the upper be extra sure that the bit is at the right angle when you start to drill. I got a little off on mine and had to enlarge the holes on the interior side of the body to get the plates to line up.

    nice. the uppers look like the only ones that might be troublesome

    For me that's what was the hardest the lowers were pretty easy. You can see in the one picture of the uppers how the one bolt is off at an angle. As far as welding goes mine are only welded on the interior not sure if that is right or not. Getting a new welder next week so maybe doing the under body welding will be a project soon.

    i would pay somebody to do this.
    Once it is a little cooler and somebody wants extra Christmas money I would be willing to strike a deal. lol
