Good deal. I don't have an HOA, so at least you have that going for you.

There is nothing wrong with the breed at all. The biggest problem is irresponsible dog owners, and the media portraying them as vicious killers.

yes, irresponsible owners play a large part in it but if the breed is borderline bat shit crazy and it takes just a little to set them off then they are dangerous.

neighbor across the street's german shepherd gets out from time to time, charges right up to you then pisses the ground wagging its tail begging for a treat. irresponsible owner, yes, bat shit crazy dangerous dog? not so much.
my dog (part husky, part german shepherd) got into the neighbors yard and the kids were playing with her when I realized it. dogs don't just maul people unless there is something wrong with them.

Animal control showed up this AM and I was told one of them almost got ahold of an officer. They almost put one down right then and there. Owner last second got the dog under control.

These 3 are left outside in kennels barely big enough to turn around in. Hell they may be let out just enough to eat and potty.

Id like to point out that this discussion was brought up in regards to the pit bulls that bit Matt's neighbor, not a discussion about Pit Bulls in general and their place in society..

It makes you wonder why someone keeps animals they don't take care of?
Why have a animal just to keep it caged up?
They should trade places with the animal for a week and see how they like it

My neighbor is being looked over in the next few days by a surgeon and will find out how much of his leg he will have to lose because of this bite. They are more than likely going to have to cut muscle and other tissue away as the damage and bacteria from the bite is that deep/bad.
