Thanks, around $1100 seems to be the common figure. More than I care to spend on my kids car since the car is not really worth that or over it. My brother at one point in time found someone via Craigslist that did one for $400(plus parts), I think out the door it was $800 and that was on a Fox body.

Stitches is where I'd go if on the W/SW side of town. Been around for as long as I can remember, and do quality work.

I know it's a 'bitch' to do yourself, but would save you a few (or several) hundred dollars, but is your time & effort worth it to you?

Very true, time is money after all. I could easily just do my job through a weekend and pay for someone else's time on the replacement and still have some money left over.

Interesting that if it needs rear glass it tacks on another $400. Wonder why that is but guess good thing ours does not need replacement glass

Probably because its a seperate piece. Otherwise it doesn't seem like a bad deal, if your glass is good.

Yes but that pricing structure combined with a parts kit(including glass) elsewhere is $350-400 implies that either the glass is really expensive or really hard to put in. I thought the hard part in doing the roof was getting the vinyl on and fitted right.
