When buying heads for mine, I went with Fox Lake heads. I'd heard better things about them. Patriot heads didn't have the spark plug thread mod back then like the FL heads.

Well I would be going with the stage 3 heads because I found them for 700.00 new but before I get them Im just a little confused on what else I would need to support these heads. I have full bolt on now and Im wanting to do the heads and cams next.

That's a great price. If you need blower cams, I've got some Crowers, BNIB for $600

patriot reccomends at least .020 over bore due to the bigger valves on the stage 3 head.... thats a great price though find out if they are the older ones..if so they will need a valve job(thats the problem they had with them valve seats going back very quickly) and go ahead and put some timeserts in them..

I have Patriot STG2 heads on my wife's GT they have had issues over the years. We had to send one head back out of the box!!! It was improperly machined. Had to end up tightening some galley plugs after 5K miles cuz they were not tight enough and started to leak a little oil after 5K or so miles. If I had it to do again I would not have bought them I would have went with MHS(Modular Head Shop) heads.
Patriot STG3 heads have also been know to be ported too far and cause port walls that are too thin and to crack in time

Thanks guys for all the input. Im pretty sure these heads are the newer ones. Im thinking 700.00 is a good price but if I have to spend a bunch of money getting work done to them I might as well buy a different set of heads. Seems like alot of people have had problems with them. Ill let yall know what I decide. Thanks again.
