Test drove a 2012 gt today

Ok I test drove a 2012 gt 6spd brembo and I must say I was pretty impressed not the fastest car I've ever driven but out of the box not bad.It shifted well it seemed lighter than expected handled well braking was pretty good. Some asshole/assholes stole my trailblazer SS a few weeks ago and now I'm debating on a new mustang so i come home get on the internet and just start reading all kinds of horrible shit about this car like the mt-82 problems and some ford tsb saying that they don't advise modifying the car because the engine can't handle certain mod's.Also the mt-82 is only rated for 370-380 ft lbs and the damn car is already at 390ft lbs,I was also interested in supercharging the car at some point but then I read that the 5.0 is at 11:1 compression stock so that means replacing piston's if i want it blown. So if you own one already please affirm what i've said or tell me it's all bullshit.PLEASE TELL ME IT'S ALL BULLSHIT AND I NEED TO STOP READING STUFF ON THE INTERNET THANKS

Just bought an Auto. Try driving on of those. I liked over the 6 speed, but maybe I am just getting old and dont want to shift gears sitting in traffic.

380 ft lbs on a 4400lb car. The mustang is significantly lighter than that. So that rating doesn't apply. Plenty of people are running 10+ lbs of boost no problem with stock longblocks. Issues are actually arising with n/a applications, not boosted. I don't care what car or truck you get in to, they're all going to carry some risk after modding them.

Just get a good tune with the stock setting on the knock sensors and you'll be fine. I would also check the initial oil fill if you happen to buy one. Ford has been under filling them by as much as 2 quarts.

Sent from my galaxy II while double clutching and blowing the welds on the intake.

Some workers are under the impression that, like the mod motor, 6 quarts are enough.

There are quite a few members on here that are running well into the 11's with no issue.
